LinkedIn’s Algorithm just ghosted me, AGAIN

Another Friday RANT… LinkedIn’s algorithm just ghosted me AGAIN, and honestly, I’m over it!

For a while, I wondered if it was just me—that maybe my posts had quietly slipped into the void. But then, a few friends who usually keep up with my daily (yes, daily-ish) brain dump told me they hadn’t seen a single thing I’d posted lately. Yet somehow, they caught that one post from two weeks ago. Suspicious, right?

Curious, I started scrolling through the profiles of people I actually want to learn from. And guess what? They’ve been sharing great stuff too, just none of it was showing up in my feed. It’s like being ghosted. You think you’re vibing with someone then poof, you’re suddenly wondering if you ever actually made it past “Hey.”

Meanwhile, the algorithm continues serving up paid promotions like a flashy, overenthusiastic salesperson at a party, while the genuine, organic posts quietly wait their turn, or don’t get a turn at all.

I get it, LinkedIn—business is business. But throttling the content that built this community feels like kicking away the ladder you climbed up on. So, here’s my friendly nudge: ease up on the paid content frenzy and let the real voices shine again. Because if the algorithm wants to ghost me, I’ll happily do the work and visit my favorite creators’ pages myself (or find another way to stay in touch). So, if you want us to stick around, maybe try not to act like a flaky date with commitment issues.
